Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Journal Smartech welcomes original and unpublished manuscripts that have not been submitted or published elsewhere. All submissions must be written in clear and concise English and should contribute significantly to the advancement of knowledge in the journal’s scope.

Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of submissions:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Short Communications

  • Case Studies and Applied Research Reports

Manuscript Preparation

Authors are required to prepare manuscripts according to the following general structure, unless otherwise specified:

  1. Title

  2. Author(s) Name(s) and Affiliation(s)

  3. Abstract (150–250 words)

  4. Keywords (3–6 keywords)

  5. Introduction

  6. Materials and Methods

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion

  9. Acknowledgements (if applicable)

  10. References

Manuscripts should be prepared using a standard word-processing format (Microsoft Word), with consistent formatting, clear figures and tables, and appropriate scientific units (SI units).

References

References must be cited in the text and listed at the end of the manuscript using a consistent citation style (APA style or journal-specific format). Authors are encouraged to cite recent and relevant peer-reviewed literature.

Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to register and log in before submitting their manuscripts.

Peer Review and Decision

Each submission undergoes a double-blind peer-review process. Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision may be:

  • Accepted

  • Accepted with minor revisions

  • Accepted with major revisions

  • Rejected

Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts promptly and address reviewers’ comments clearly and professionally.

Publication Ethics

Authors must ensure originality, proper citation of sources, and ethical research practices. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical behavior will result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
